exclusive right Copyright is an exclusive right granting its owner complete power over his/her work, effective vis-a-vis anyone. The author has the exclusive right to decide when and how his/her work shall be used. Said right extends in particular to the reproduction, translation, adaptation, performance, distribution, sale, broadcast, making available and retransmission of the work.
