Radio and TV broadcasters
SRG SSR Idée suisse – Television
The licensing agreements concluded between SSA and SRG (RTS, RSI, SRF) are based on an annual lump-sum payment which relates to the usage volume of the previous contractual period. SSA also represents members of SUISSIMAGE vis-a-vis RTS and RSI.
SRG SSR – Radio
SSA has concluded a licensing agreement with all of SRG's radio business units.
Broadcasting remuneration is based on a periodically negotiated minute-based tariff.
Said tariff varies depending on the respective language region.
Private, local and regional TV broadcasters
Depending on the number of works belonging to the SSA repertoire broadcast, private and local TV stations choose either a licensing agreement allowing them to use the entire SSA repertoire, or a case-by-case arrangement to govern the rights involved.
Said broadcasters do, however, usually only use the SSA repertoire to a small extent.
SSA collects the rights remuneration from private and local TV stations also on behalf of ProLitteris and SUISSIMAGE.
TELESUISSE recommends that its members conclude a contract based on the respective model contract.
Private, local and regional radio broadcasters
A lump-sum payment, respectively a minute-based tariff has been agreed with the broadcasters based in the French-speaking and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland.
SSA collects the rights remuneration from private radio stations also on behalf of ProLitteris.
Conversely, ProLitteris represents SSA among the relevant broadcasters in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
The rights remuneration is, however, paid out by the society where the rights owner is a member.
